Last night my husband and I went to dinner. We shared a pizza with pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms. Oh and we had a pitcher of beer. I will say that I have not had pizza that was that good in a long time!!
So this morning the pizza is sitting in my belly like a rock. I don't regret eating it, but I certainly don't like the way I feel.
Today is a new day and I will start over. One pizza certainly will not kill me!!

The New Diet Pill....Alli
There is a new diet pill out that has been approved by the FDA. It is manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline and it is called Alli. I must say that it peaked my interest for about 15 minutes. That is until I read the side effects.
Alli is available over the counter, which means you can walk into any CVS, Rite Aide or any neighborhood drug store and buy it without a prescription. They claim it will prevent the break down 1/4th or 25% of any fat you consume. Sounds good right? Sure but do you really want to fart and secrete an oily substance? Have loose stools or possibly run the risk of possibly crapping your pants because you cannot control your bowel movements?
I am an overweight person myself and I have had a weight problem since having my son 12 years ago. I guess most of my weight problem is from shear laziness. In high school, I was very weight conscious, ate right and exercised.
I look at this pill as an aid to allow overweight people to continue to eat poorly. There is a diet plan that you should follow and abide by for maximum results. How many people are actually going to use this pill as it should prescribed? My guess, not many! I have a feeling that most people are going to think “Well if it will break down 25% of that McDonald's cheeseburger I just ate. I could have another and another!!”
I am sure most of us have experienced an upset stomach with diarrhea after consuming McDonald’s food. I know I have and refuse to eat it. So now imagine the mess you could have after indulging in a few more burgers and fries then you should have had!!

8 Random Facts
Hello everyone!! Last week I was tagged by Jim and Em at Go! Smell the Flowers on 8 random facts about me. I decide to pass this time. I have been tagged 3 other times and I think I am going to run out of random facts!! But I am going to tag other bloggers..
Here are the rules..
The rules of tagging are that each blogger starts by posting 8 random facts about themselves, then list 8 blogs that they like, leaving a ‘you’ve been tagged’ comment with each blog. Simple as that.
So, if you’ve been tagged copy the rules and write 8 facts of your own. Then select 8 people and pst them at the end of the post with links to their addresses!
The unsuspecting bloggers

Food, food and more food!!
OH MY GOOODNESS...I feel like I ate a tone this weekend. Saturday my husband and I went out on a date. It has been since Oct. 2006 since we had been out, just him and I alone. We went to Chili's for dinner. I had Monteray Chicken, which I might say was very good!! It was a marinated chicken breast smothered with cheese, bacon and topped with fresh diced tomatoes. I gave my husband my smashed taters and ate my veggies. Very Good!!
Sunday we went to a Father's Day Pool Party. It was all family and there was a tone of food. Again I tried to behave! I had a piece of chicken, small piece of steak and fruit salad. Then desert came out and that was the end of it all!! I did try to keep it under wraps. I have 5 pretzels that at a Hersey's Kiss stuck on them and a brownie. Boy they were good!!

Last Nights Dinner
Last night I was in the mood for chicken BUT it had to be something different. So my husband is on the Atkins kick...which from what I read is a lower carb version of the Zone. Less the fruit and the cottage and yogurt and the list could go on and on but I won't bore you with the details.
Honey. I am sorry but you are on your own with this one!
So I did take a look at the recipes on the Atkins site. I figured I could get some new food ideas seeing as there are some similarities between the two programs.
What I found was Cheese n Chili Chops. I substituted the pork with chicken, dropped the green chili's (not because I don't like them but because I forgot to buy them at the store)and used Olive Oil instead of Vegetable Oil. Added a green salad with cucumber for "Z"(my son) and I and had a pretty good meal!!

Me First....for once..
So I am back in the Zone…full time!! Last week was a struggle to get through. My son, my husband and my job have all been driving me crazy! With so much going on and then trying to stay focused as well I temporarily fell off the wagon. It wasn’t complete sabotage, so that I am happy for…Damn Tostitos and salsa !
I have decided that know matter what the situation, will stay focused. I need to take some time for myself and take care of me…I am the type of person that puts me last and as much as I don’t like to be selfish, I am going to start putting me more to the top of that list. I have spent way to many years being last and I am finally putting my foot down and changing all that!
