Another Reason To get Healthy

My husband, who can ted to tell me very little, well most comes after the fact the same day or even a week later, comes home last night after work and says " I have high blood pressure". He proceeds to walk out of the kitchen like it was a general statement people say everyday. Kinda like "Hi Honey, how was your day?" That is how nonchalant it was!

A little dumb founded, I asked "What makes you think that?"

"I had a psychical today and that is what they told me." he replied

More news to me, I asked " A psychical, when did you schedule a doctor's appointment?" This is a man who despises going to the doctor's office.

"For work" he groaned "Every year I have to have a psychical, remember, the state law says so!" (he is a driver)

So of course, I start firing questions at him and finish with "Well, that's not good!"

My husband is only 31, my first thought is wow, he is a bit young to have high blood pressure. He could stand to lose about 50 lbs. I am sure they told him that but with his lack of info, I may not hear about it till next week. They suggested he go to his regular doc and get on some medication. I am going to look around on the Internet to see what else he can do besides start popping pills at 31.

Alternative To A Diary

A lot of people keep diaries; they put there inner most private and secret thoughts on paper and hide them from the world. Things that they may never tell anyone are kept secret, between sheets of paper. I don’t have one for fear that someone in my house would find it and not respect me enough to read it. I know sounds like I have real trust issues!

If you are like me and have that same fear that someone you know may find book extremely personal thoughts but still find writing helps relieve some stress why not keep an on line journal. Please No More BBQ's

OMG another one! So this weekend we have another BBQ to go to. Completely understandable, it is of course Labor Day weekend. This one is at my husbands Dad's house. I hope it will be the last one. We have gone to a lot of parties this summer and they all have had alot of food!

I never really got back on track, well I mean, I have cut out the junk and a lot of carbs. Eating a lot more fruits and veggies. I found when I did the Zone I felt great physically. The main problem was that it was so damn expensive! I was spending nearly $300.00 a week on food and that wasn't including stuff for my son. So I think I will take this weekend and try to use the same concept just not so hard core!
