So you live with someone and talking about health issues is not something that happens. That's ok, there are things you can do without talking that can make a big difference in your loved ones life and help create habits without even saying a word.
- Have dinner and then go take part in an active activity.
- Always try to play outdoor activities together
- Give a gift that promotes outdoor activity. A bike, roller blades, tennis racket, you get the idea.
- Have the room for a garden? Start one and work in together
- Plan a hike.
- Instead of driving to your favorite local restaurant, walk there (if it is with walking distance).
- Take a canoe trip.
- Do small things that makes their life easier. If they walk after they do the dinner dishes, do the dishes for them. That way your loved one will be able to get right to walking and not have the time to think about not wanting to walk.
- Hide the remote for the TV. I know when it is lost in my house I go nuts looking for it!
- If your family is eco friendly, get outside and clean up yout neighborhood.
