A New Look Is Coming

Why o why is it so expensive to eat healthy foods?? Maybe that is not the problem, maybe I am just using it as an excuse!! I mean it is costly but it can be done.

I will be going back to a weight loss program that has worked well for me in the past. This time I will be ditching the scale and stop usuing as my gage to how hard I have to work for a certain part of the week.

Look for some changes coming to this blog over the next couple of weeks. It will be getting a makeover and I am really excited about it!! Till then........

Smorty

I have added this blog to Smorty. Wondering what or who Smorty is? Smorty is a site that bloggers join if they would like to get paid for blogging. You can write your opinion on products and websites that advertiser would like to advertise on blogs and or promote. You then are paid for that opinion once the advertiser has approved your post. That means you must follow certain criteria that has been set forth by the advertiser and Smorty’s rules.

My most favorite things about Smorty would have to be that I get paid to blog on a weekly basis. It is nice to know that you don’t have to wait forever to get paid for blogging. Smorty also has a set number of words you should type for each post. You are also allowed 3 full days to post you opinion once you have accepted a job. They really give you time to think about what you want to write.

So if you are interested in making a couple of extra bucks, go to www.Smorty.com.

Another Reason To get Healthy

My husband, who can ted to tell me very little, well most comes after the fact the same day or even a week later, comes home last night after work and says " I have high blood pressure". He proceeds to walk out of the kitchen like it was a general statement people say everyday. Kinda like "Hi Honey, how was your day?" That is how nonchalant it was!

A little dumb founded, I asked "What makes you think that?"

"I had a psychical today and that is what they told me." he replied

More news to me, I asked " A psychical, when did you schedule a doctor's appointment?" This is a man who despises going to the doctor's office.

"For work" he groaned "Every year I have to have a psychical, remember, the state law says so!" (he is a driver)

So of course, I start firing questions at him and finish with "Well, that's not good!"

My husband is only 31, my first thought is wow, he is a bit young to have high blood pressure. He could stand to lose about 50 lbs. I am sure they told him that but with his lack of info, I may not hear about it till next week. They suggested he go to his regular doc and get on some medication. I am going to look around on the Internet to see what else he can do besides start popping pills at 31.

Alternative To A Diary

A lot of people keep diaries; they put there inner most private and secret thoughts on paper and hide them from the world. Things that they may never tell anyone are kept secret, between sheets of paper. I don’t have one for fear that someone in my house would find it and not respect me enough to read it. I know sounds like I have real trust issues!

If you are like me and have that same fear that someone you know may find book extremely personal thoughts but still find writing helps relieve some stress why not keep an on line journal. No, I am not talking about a blog, I am talking about an online diary. Like a therapy journal easy to remember because that us the name of the site. To visit MyTherapyJournal.com, please click here >.

The Therapy Journal is and online alternative to a traditional diary. It allows you you keep your thoughts private but also allows you to add pictures and graphs. You might be wondering about why there are graphs. Well, say you have been diagnosed with anxiety and you are working towards a goal. When you login you will be asked a series of questions that pertain to your specific diagnosis. When you answer these questions they will be placed on a graph and you will be able to chart your progress. Possibly help find what may be triggering your anxiety.

If you are considering a diary and but are looking for more options then check them out.
To visit MyTherapyJournal.com, please click here > . You have nothing to lose; they offer a free 14 day trial. During the 14 days you can use all the options available to see if you like it. It is all risk free, if you don’t like what is offered cancel with in the first 14 days and your membership fees will be returned to you.

Please No More BBQ's

OMG another one! So this weekend we have another BBQ to go to. Completely understandable, it is of course Labor Day weekend. This one is at my husbands Dad's house. I hope it will be the last one. We have gone to a lot of parties this summer and they all have had alot of food!

I never really got back on track, well I mean, I have cut out the junk and a lot of carbs. Eating a lot more fruits and veggies. I found when I did the Zone I felt great physically. The main problem was that it was so damn expensive! I was spending nearly $300.00 a week on food and that wasn't including stuff for my son. So I think I will take this weekend and try to use the same concept just not so hard core!

So I Thought I Was BacK!

Last night my husband and I went to dinner. We shared a pizza with pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms. Oh and we had a pitcher of beer. I will say that I have not had pizza that was that good in a long time!!

So this morning the pizza is sitting in my belly like a rock. I don't regret eating it, but I certainly don't like the way I feel.

Today is a new day and I will start over. One pizza certainly will not kill me!!

The New Diet Pill....Alli

There is a new diet pill out that has been approved by the FDA. It is manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline and it is called Alli. I must say that it peaked my interest for about 15 minutes. That is until I read the side effects.

Alli is available over the counter, which means you can walk into any CVS, Rite Aide or any neighborhood drug store and buy it without a prescription. They claim it will prevent the break down 1/4th or 25% of any fat you consume. Sounds good right? Sure but do you really want to fart and secrete an oily substance? Have loose stools or possibly run the risk of possibly crapping your pants because you cannot control your bowel movements?

I am an overweight person myself and I have had a weight problem since having my son 12 years ago. I guess most of my weight problem is from shear laziness. In high school, I was very weight conscious, ate right and exercised.

I look at this pill as an aid to allow overweight people to continue to eat poorly. There is a diet plan that you should follow and abide by for maximum results. How many people are actually going to use this pill as it should prescribed? My guess, not many! I have a feeling that most people are going to think “Well if it will break down 25% of that McDonald's cheeseburger I just ate. I could have another and another!!”

I am sure most of us have experienced an upset stomach with diarrhea after consuming McDonald’s food. I know I have and refuse to eat it. So now imagine the mess you could have after indulging in a few more burgers and fries then you should have had!!

Check it out for yourself www.Myalli.com
